This summer Knox decided he was ready to learn how to shoot a crossbow so he could try to bag his first deer this upcoming fall. My cousin Tank was gracious enough to let me borrow one of his and boy was Knox excited. A countless amount of arrows were shot in all different types of scenarios and Knox was ready to give it a try. When my father-in-law invited Knox to come hunt one of his awesome food plots in early October, I could barely contain the excitement. The deer read the script and before we know it Knox is releasing his first ever arrow at a deer. Even though Knox did everything perfect, the deer ducked causing the arrow to miss its mark, resulting in us not recovering the animal. Lessons were learned, memories were made and we are looking forward to the next hunt already.
