Ducks Unlimited’s film tells the story of two partners who built a haven for waterfowl and other wildlife in Delaware.
Joe Rowan, a Director of Fundraising and Volunteer Relations for Ducks Unlimited, and Bill Lingo, a longtime DU volunteer, worked together for three decades to manage a 160-acre farm for wildlife and raise money for Ducks Unlimited’s continental mission. Along the way, they developed a special friendship based in the traditions of waterfowl hunting and conservation.
“I’ve got a duck blind out here on the marsh, and it’s the 50th year that I’ve done that blind, and that’s special to me,” said Rowan. “This farm is my hobby. I’m very fortunate in the relationship I have with Bill that I’m able to perform the management and caretake the farm. We have a common bond, and that’s working with waterfowl and wildlife and making sure we have a place for them here in Taylor’s Bridge.”
