"It’s hard to get to Barrow. We’re at the top of the world. It’s the northernmost point in the United States. There’s no road access. We’re 260 miles from the closest road. It’s too long of a stretch, with lots of rivers and lakes that would make it too hard to build a real road. But in the winter, when everything freezes up, for a short time we can off-road over the frozen tundra and get to other parts of Alaska to bring back supplies." - Clifford Benson
