Mario finally comes off the road for a home state turkey hunt with Austin Crowson, a mutual friend of outdoor writer Scott Haugen. This is a Mid-Willamette Valley turkey hunt with great spring weather and tons of green scenery. We get in early and set up on a pile of turkeys and the action comes right at first light, and they just keep coming. We have a front row seat in the ground blind for some incredible strutting. Mario lets a few longbeards pass before settling on Mr. Blue Face. Just a cool looking turkey that catches his eye and sees it as a trophy. Very cool hunt!
