Kansas is one of my favorite states to hunt, especially during late October and early November when the bucks are cruising looking for does. I don’t know what it is about Kansas but calling whether it be by rattling with the Black Rack or using the Extinguisher Grunt Call is so effective. The bucks are so much more receptive then some of the other places I hunt it makes it fun and challenging all at the same time. I also love coming out to Kansas to hunt with my buddy Travis. I have Javin along with me now so I have a camera man and we go out the first night scouting. I picked out a tree that I thought would be a great observations spot but also put us in the chips if the bucks were cruising. We get in the tree that next morning and the bucks were moving right off the bat! Javin spots a GIANT going back to bed in a thicket behind us. I pulled out the black rack and got his attention right away and then it was game on!

The Quest for Roman • Whitetail Edge
Every year, especially in Ohio my home state I try and target a specific deer. That is just the challenge that is within me and I enjoy that. I like to pick out a specific deer and play the chess match. When I was younger and growing up I can remember spending hours on the road and looking at ...
