Dr. Bronson Strickland, co-director of the Mississippi State University Deer Lab, discusses the reasoning for hunting during all moon phases. Dr. Bronson states that all moon phases are good for hunting and that the main factor you should always consider is wind direction. You should strategize and try to position yourself between what you believe to be deer bedding and feeding areas with the right wind for little to no deer interaction. Their studies show that after 3 days of consistent human interaction, deer will begin to change their behavior.
