Patton was unemployed for six months when he was fortunate to be hired by USA Cares, an organization that provides financial and advocacy assistance to post-9/11 active duty US military service personnel, veterans and their families.

Patton now serves people who are in similar situations that he was in during his unemployment. As a lifelong outdoorsman, he understands the value giving back.

“I’ve always wanted to do something greater than myself,” said Patton.

Patton's story is inspiring and a story worth hearing. Mossy Oak took him on a Pike County, Illinois bow hunt that was a "dream come true." As he recounts his experiences in life both in service and as an outdoorsman, he knows that he is fortunate.
