It's October 10th and Mossy Oak's Mac Thatcher heads out to Graham's Guide Service.
He quickly gets sighted in, so he has time to scout ahead for the next morning. Hearing wild elk bugles echo in the mountains and actually seeing one at 100 yards, pumps Mac up for his first ever elk hunt.
Day one. Riker yelps in a young bull to 70 yards.
Hiking, Lunch, Hiking, Spotting distant elk but nothing close.
Day two. After some scouting help from other Mossy Oak Hunters and Joseph Graham they head over a ridge and spot a mature 6x6 bull and hike as fast as they can to get to him. The bull decides to bed down, and the guys decide to take a short siesta as well.
That afternoon the wind changes and they decide to embrace the suck, and trek down, around, and back up so Mac gets a change to get to close to "his" bull.
