This hunt is a little different with Tracy Drury deciding to join Taylor and Mark in the blind. It’s been a long time since all three have been able to hunt together and hoping to get it done with only two days left of season!
As they climb into the blind on the first evening a neighbor happened to shoot right by them with the bullet whistling by. Mark and Taylor decide to switch up the original plan and hunt a different blind for the evening.
After getting settled into the second blind the deer started to filter out. Seeing multiple bucks and a few does, Taylor looks to the right and spots “A Frame”. He was below the crest of the hill making a scrape and eating beans with no shot opportunities as he walks away straight into the timber.
Mark had a few photos of “A frame” this summer and then he disappeared. It wasn’t until he was walking away in the timber, Mark realized he was definitely mature and was hoping he would come back out before last light.
As the night goes on, more deer filter into the field and as luck would have it out steps “A Frame”. He continued to do what he was doing before, feeding on the beans with no shot opportunity.
Finally, “A Frame” decides to walk over to a scrape on the edge of the field and starts to hit it before walking into the trees for a second time. Taylor had the Winchester on him waiting for a broadside shot. After leaving the scrape Mark stopped him and Taylor was able to put a perfect shot on him!
What a season Taylor has had this year and glad she was able to share a special memory with both Mark and Tracy! As always, we greatly appreciate the continued support and hope you enjoy the episode!
